Terms of Service

Effective August 12, 2026.

These terms apply to the ProgramMetrics public website, beta application, and the invite-only Essential Insights controlled beta. Public live checkout and unrestricted customer access are not available.

Controlled-beta access

Applying for the beta does not guarantee selection. ProgramMetrics may limit, pause, end, or change beta access when needed for security, reliability, product testing, or compliance.

Selected testers may be asked to complete a Stripe test-mode checkout showing $49 to exercise the purchase-to-access workflow. This is a simulated beta transaction. No real payment is processed and it does not create a live paid-service purchase.

Essential Insights beta scope

Essential Insights is a fixed-scope automated analysis for one eligible, properly de-identified UTF-8 CSV. Current controlled-beta limits are 5 MB, 10,000 data rows, 100 columns, 64 characters per field name, and 75 categories per categorical field.

A verified beta entitlement provides one final assessment plus two correction attempts for the same dataset. A successfully delivered low-readiness result counts as the final assessment because the customer received the readiness findings and correction plan.

The beta result may include data-readiness and quality checks, limited numeric, categorical, and date descriptives when supported, evidence-bound findings, up to four supported static visuals, and a prioritized correction plan. After confirmed completion, the approved customer downloads are a PDF summary, a long-form analysis CSV, and one combined PNG visual summary.

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, interactive HTML, ZIP bundles, multi-file analysis, forecasts, regression, significance testing, causal claims, manual cleaning, consulting, meetings, custom programming, and owner-written interpretation are not included in the $49 controlled-beta product.

Data eligibility and customer responsibilities

You may use only data that you are legally authorized to analyze and that has been properly de-identified before selection. You are responsible for determining whether your dataset is appropriate for this service.

Do not use ProgramMetrics with names, identifying initials, street or full mailing addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, medical-record or patient numbers, student or government identification numbers, full dates of birth, payment-card or banking data, passwords, credentials, authentication tokens, security secrets, identifiable health information including PHI, FERPA-protected identifiable education records, or other legally restricted identifiable data.

Open-ended case notes, clinical notes, narratives, comments, and other free-text fields that may identify someone are prohibited during the controlled beta.

Anonymous record identifiers may be used only when ProgramMetrics cannot use them to identify or contact a person. You must keep any re-identification key outside ProgramMetrics.

Browser-local analysis and downloads

The controlled-beta Essential Insights application is designed to analyze the selected CSV in the customer's browser session rather than upload the source file for server-side analysis. The source CSV is not restored after the session ends. Download any approved outputs you want to keep before removing the file, refreshing, or ending the session.

Automated screening may not detect every prohibited identifier or data issue. A successful screen does not certify legal de-identification or compliance.

Outputs and reliance

ProgramMetrics outputs are automated analytical and reporting-preparation tools. They are not legal, medical, clinical, accounting, compliance, or other professional advice and do not replace qualified professional judgment where that is required.

ProgramMetrics does not guarantee that every data issue will be detected, that every supported analysis will be available for every dataset, or that an output is suitable for every decision or reporting purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and validating outputs before relying on or distributing them.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping sign-in links and account access secure. Do not share authentication links, credentials, test checkout identifiers, or security information. ProgramMetrics may suspend access when misuse, unauthorized access, or a security concern is suspected.

Support and failure review

Controlled-beta support is provided through the structured ProgramMetrics support form with a target response within two business days. Do not send datasets, field names, filenames, report contents, sign-in links, payment details, credentials, or other customer-level data in a support request.

Verified system failures may restore an available attempt. Duplicate test transactions, paid-without-access states, platform delivery failures, and export failures may be submitted for owner review through the available beta process. Review does not automatically create a refund or credit.

Ownership

You retain your rights in the data you are authorized to use. ProgramMetrics retains its rights in the software, methods, interface, branding, documentation, and service design. You may use the customer-facing beta outputs you download for your own lawful purposes, subject to your responsibility to review and validate them.

Beta availability and warranties

The controlled beta is provided for testing and feedback and may contain defects or temporary interruptions. ProgramMetrics does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available beta service. Nothing in these terms excludes obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and questions

ProgramMetrics may update these terms as the beta changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date before the changed terms govern new use.
